Scope

This standard specifies the reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method for detecting whether propolis contains poplar gum.
This standard is applicable to the detection of poplar gum in propolis raw materials and propolis ethanol extracts.
When the sample injection volume is 5 μL, the minimum detection limit of salicin is 1.3 μg/mL, and the detection limit of poplar gum in propolis raw materials is approximately 5%, and the detection limit of poplar gum in propolis ethanol extracts is approximately 15%.
