Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of fully enclosed electric motor compressors for room air conditioners. This document is applicable to fully enclosed electric motor compressors for room air conditioners using refrigerants such as R22, R410A, R32, and R290 (hereinafter referred to as compressors, including rotary compressors and scroll compressors). Compressors of the same type using other types of refrigerants can be used as a reference for application.
