本文件规定了房间空气调节器的术语和定义、产品分类、技术要求、试验、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本文件适用于采用风冷及水冷冷凝器、全封闭型电动机压缩机，额定制冷量14 000 W以下以创造室内舒适环境为目的的家用和类似用途的自由送风型房间空气调节器（以下简称空调器），以及额定制冷量8 kW以下且外部静压小于25 Pa的风管式空调器。
本文件不适用于以下产品及系统：
——移动式空调器；
——单独组件，不能组成完整的制冷系统；
——采用吸收制冷循环的空调器；
——其他的风管式空调器。
