Scope
This standard specifies the methods for determining potassium in forest soils, including alkali fusion and acid dissolution for total potassium in forest soils, extraction with 1 mol/L ammonium acetate for quick-acting potassium in forest soils, and boiling extraction with 1 mol/L nitric acid for slow-acting potassium in forest soils.
