Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, type and size, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of high-strength round-ring chains for mining (hereinafter referred to as round-ring chains).
This standard applies to scraper conveyors, scraper transfer machines, cantilever mining machines, coal plows, drum coal miners, and other mechanical traction chains used in coal mines. It does not apply to lifting chains and suspension chains.
