Scope

This standard specifies the product classification and labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, transportation, and storage requirements for hollow polyester staple fibers used for filling purposes. This standard applies to the quality assessment of silicone-coated or non-silicone-coated hollow polyester staple fibers with a linear density of 1.67 dtex to 22.22 dtex, produced from polyethylene terephthalate raw materials and used for filling purposes. Other types of hollow staple fibers can be used as a reference for application.
