Scope
This part of GB/T 21228 specifies the measurement method of the surface irregular incident sound scattering coefficient caused by surface roughness. The measurement should be carried out in a reverberation chamber using full-scale models or physical scale models. The measurement results can be used to describe how much sound reflection from the surface deviates from specular reflection. The results can also be used for comparison and design calculations related to indoor acoustics and noise control. This method is not suitable for characterizing the spatially uniform distribution of surface sound scattering.
