Scope

This regulation applies to the type-approval, prototype testing, initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use inspection of level gauges.
Types of level gauges include float-type, ball-type, float-chamber type, pressure-type, capacitive-type, conductivity-type, and reflective-type. Level gauges and level indicators manufactured using other principles can also be verified in accordance with this regulation.
