Scope
This part specifies the requirements for tracheotomy cannulas made of plastic and/or rubber with an inner diameter of 6.5 mm or greater. Such cannulas are mainly used for patients who need anesthesia, artificial ventilation, or other assisted respiration (but not limited to these applications).
This part does not apply to special cannulas, and it does not specify the flammability of tracheotomy cannulas.
