Scope

This part of GB/T 21283 describes rotary shaft labyrinth sealing rings with sealing elements made of thermoplastic materials. The sealing elements are based on thermoplastic materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and are manufactured with appropriate fittings. This part specifies the basic dimensions and tolerances of rotary shaft labyrinth sealing rings with sealing elements made of thermoplastic materials, as well as the size marking codes. This part applies to rotary shaft labyrinth sealing rings with sealing elements made of thermoplastic materials (hereinafter referred to as sealing rings). Note: GB/T 21283 and GB/T 13871 complement each other. GB/T 13871 specifies sealing rings made of elastomeric materials.
