Scope
This document specifies the basic requirements for museum lighting, the selection of lighting fixtures, the quantity and quality of lighting, lighting standard values, the protection of exhibits or collections, the layout and installation requirements of exhibition hall lighting fixtures, natural lighting design, lighting energy conservation, lighting power supply and control, lighting maintenance and management, and acceptance and evaluation.
This document is applicable to the lighting design of new, renovated, expanded, or museums located in ancient or historic buildings.
