Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, material requirements, manufacturing requirements, and painting and marking for standard gauge railway freight cars.
This standard applies to new standard gauge railway freight cars with a maximum operating speed of less than or equal to 120 km/h and an axle load of less than or equal to 30 t. New railway freight cars with a maximum operating speed of more than 120 km/h, an axle load of more than 30 t, or special structural and operational requirements may refer to this standard for implementation.
