Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements applicable to the design and manufacture of shredders, and provides relevant instructions for the safe use of the machine.
This document applies to all major hazards, dangerous states, and dangerous events associated with shredders that may arise during their entire life cycle (see GB/T 15706—2012, Section 5.4), during their intended use, and in cases of misuse that can be reasonably foreseen by the manufacturer (see Appendix A).
This document applies to shredders used for processing rubber and plastics, starting from the outer edge of the feeding hopper and ending at the discharge area.
This document does not apply to:
— Feeding or discharge equipment that is not integrated with the machine;
— Safety measures related to reducing the risk of fire caused by flammable materials left in the shredded material;
— Local exhaust ventilation systems.
