GB/T 39851.3-2021 Road vehicles—Diagnostic communication over Controller Area Network (DoCAN)—Part 3:Requirements for emissions-related systems
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the requirements for a controller area network (CAN) with one or more controllers that comply with OBD (On-Board Diagnostics System) or WWH-OBD (Worldwide Harmonized On-Board Diagnostics System). The bus network sets up diagnostic-related applications for external devices used for scanning and repair. If the controller network is checked and repaired using external test equipment, the CAN network requirements for the vehicle and external test equipment are based on the specifications of GB/T 39851.2, ISO 11898-1, and ISO 11898-2.
This document specifies the requirements for successfully establishing, maintaining, and terminating communication with vehicles that comply with the definitions of OBD/WWH-OBD. Plug-and-play communication capabilities are needed between the vehicle and test equipment to ensure the interoperability of external test equipment and vehicles. To achieve this goal, the requirements of each layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) are described in detail.
This document does not specify the CAN bus architecture of the vehicle controller area network, aiming to ensure that the vehicle's CAN complies with the communication requirements of external test equipment.
This document is the entry point for diagnostic communication based on the controller area network. Based on the results of initialization, the external test equipment determines the protocols and diagnostic services supported by the vehicle's emission-related systems:
——OBD: ISO 15031 (all parts);
——WWH-OBD: ISO 27145 (all parts).
