Scope

This document specifies the data exchange requirements for four-color flexographic printing used in packaging and publications, including newspapers, and the necessary information for setting target values. This document specifies the colorimetric target values for printing based on color characterization data, and also includes reasonable settings for key parameters in the flexographic printing process and recommended tolerances.
This document is directly applicable to:
—— Flexographic printing for publications, including magazines, product samples, and commercial printing, as well as packaging flexographic printing for products such as labels, paper boxes, and flexible packaging.
—— Screen proofing and continuous proofing processes for predicting the colorimetric results of flexographic printing.
