Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of commercial ice machines.
This standard specifies the relevant requirements and test methods for ice storage cabinets.
This standard applies to compressor refrigeration systems driven by motors, and ice machines for commercial and similar purposes that automatically produce ice from water, with an ice production capacity of no more than 5,000 kg in 24 hours under standard operating conditions.
This standard does not apply to ice machines for household and industrial use.
