Scope

This document specifies the methods for preparing and testing the performance of impact-resistant polystyrene (PS-I) molded and extruded materials. It also sets out the requirements for pre-treating test materials and adjusting the state of the samples before testing. This document provides the methods and conditions for preparing samples of impact-resistant polystyrene molded and extruded materials, as well as the methods for measuring the material's performance using these samples. It lists the appropriate and necessary properties and test methods for characterizing PS-I molded and extruded materials. These properties are selected from the general test methods in GB/T 19467.1. The document also lists other test methods widely used or of particular significance for molded and extruded materials, as well as the methods for measuring the named properties in GB/T 18964.1.
