Scope

This standard specifies the energy efficiency limits, energy-saving evaluation values, target energy efficiency limits, test methods, and inspection rules for general-purpose computer monitors (hereinafter referred to as monitors). This standard applies to cathode ray tube display devices (hereinafter referred to as CRT monitors) and liquid crystal display devices (hereinafter referred to as LCD monitors) used in computers that operate normally under grid voltage, as well as to display devices with tuners/receivers whose primary function is computer display.
