Scope

This document specifies the energy efficiency class and energy efficiency limits for power supplies (hereinafter referred to as "products") that convert AC voltage to low-voltage DC (not exceeding 60 V) or low-voltage AC (not exceeding 42.4 V) output voltage under 220 V, 50 Hz power supply conditions, and describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to: a) External power supplies with a rated output power of not more than 500 W, and embedded power supplies for microcomputers and servers with a rated output power of not more than 27.5 kW; b) Power supply parts of extension cable sockets, wall sockets, and converters with USB ports. This document does not apply to combination products with external power supplies as auxiliary functions, combination products with batteries (including those used for charging independent batteries), external power supplies with wireless charging functions, Power over Ethernet (POE) external power supplies, or products used for powering industrial equipment, vehicles, or medical devices.
