Scope

This standard specifies a test method for determining the dynamic performance of porous rubber materials and rigid and soft foams by measuring the maximum deceleration of objects falling onto a test piece. This test is primarily used for quality assurance purposes. Moreover, this test is also used to obtain design data, so the notes in Appendix A can provide assistance with the design data. This standard is only applicable to packaging materials.
