Scope

1.1 This standard specifies a general method for determining the magnesium content in inorganic chemical products - the complexometric titration method. 1.2 This standard is applicable to the determination of magnesium content in inorganic chemical products by titration using disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) as the complexing agent. This standard is applicable to magnesium ion concentrations in the test solution ranging from 1mg to 200mg.
