Scope

The present part of YY 0585 specifies the requirements for the design, materials, physical, chemical, and biological properties, packaging, labeling, and disposal of filters used in pressure infusion equipment, but does not include the effectiveness of filters in removing particles or bacteria.
This part applies to the fluid path of infusion equipment under a pressure of no more than 200 kPa and to the disposable sterile infusion filters used on infusion sets specified in YY 0286.4.
