GB/T 22364-2018 Paper and board—Determination of bending resistance

Scope

This standard specifies three methods for measuring the bending stiffness of paper and paperboard: the constant-speed bending method, the Tabor-type stiffness tester method, and the resonance method.
The constant-speed bending method of this standard is suitable for paper and paperboard with a bending stiffness of 20 mN to 10,000 mN. The Tabor-type stiffness tester method of this standard is mainly suitable for high-density paper and paperboard. The Tabor-type stiffness tester in this standard does not include low-range Tabor-type stiffness testers that use a bending length of 10 mm. The resonance method of this standard is suitable for most paper and paperboard, but not for paper and paperboard that will produce delamination or obvious curling during measurement, as well as paper with a density of less than 40 g/m2. This standard applies to the components of corrugated cardboard, but not to corrugated cardboard itself.
Note: The measurement results obtained using different test methods cannot be converted with each other.
