Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, structure, and marking of wind power composite material fairings (hereinafter referred to as fairings), general requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation, storage, installation, maintenance, and upkeep for wind power fairings.
This standard applies to composite material fairings used to protect the hubs of wind turbines, which are manufactured using molding processes such as vacuum infusion and hand lay-up.
