Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation, and storage for silicone rubber sealants used in the sealing of frames, the bonding of junction boxes to backplanes, the encapsulation of junction boxes, the sealing of busbars, and the bonding of film battery brackets for ground-mounted photovoltaic modules.
This standard applies to silicone rubber sealants used in the assembly of crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and thin-film photovoltaic modules.
This standard does not apply to silicone rubber sealants used in the assembly of photovoltaic modules with concentrators.
