Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in vulcanized rubber. Method A is nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectroscopy, and Method B is gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of PAHs in vulcanized rubber, and it is also suitable for the determination of PAHs in tires.
