Scope
This standard specifies the performance parameters, insulation level, technical requirements, test items, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of high-end (600 kV and 800 kV) oil-immersed converter transformers used in ±800 kV DC transmission systems. Some examples of the relevant performance parameters of specific products are given in Appendix A.
This standard applies to high-end single-phase oil-immersed converter transformers (hereinafter referred to as converter transformers) used in ±800 kV DC transmission systems with double 12-pulse converters connected in series.
