GB/T 25121-2010 Railway applications—Rolling stock equipment—Capacitors for power electronics
Basic Information
Scope
This standard applies to power electronic capacitors used in rail transit locomotives and vehicles.
The rated voltage of the capacitors covered by this standard is up to 10,000 V.
The operating frequency of such capacitor systems is typically lower than 2,500 Hz, while the pulse frequency can reach several thousand Hz, and in some cases may exceed 10,000 Hz.
Capacitors are divided into AC capacitors and DC capacitors.
Capacitors are installed as components in housings.
Note: This standard applies to a wide range of capacitor technologies, including those used in overvoltage protection, DC and AC filters, switching circuits, DC energy storage, auxiliary converters, and many other applications.
This standard does not apply to the following capacitors:
——Capacitors for induction heating devices with a frequency of 40 Hz to 24,000 Hz (see GB/T 3984.1 and GB/T 3984.2);
——Capacitors used in AC motors and similar applications (see GB/T 3667.1);
——Capacitors used in circuits for suppressing one or more harmonics in power supply networks;
——Small AC capacitors for fluorescent lamps and discharge lamps (see GB 18489 or GB/T 18504);
——Capacitors for suppressing electromagnetic interference (see GB/T 14472);
——Parallel capacitors for AC power systems with a rated voltage of over 1,000 V (see GB/T 11024.1, GB/T 11024.2);
——Self-healing parallel power capacitors for AC power systems with a rated voltage of 1,000 V and below (see GB/T 12747.1, GB/T 12747.2);
——Non-self-healing parallel power capacitors for AC power systems with a rated voltage of 1,000 V and below (see GB/T 17886.1, GB/T 17886.2, and GB/T 17886.3);
——Electronic capacitors not used in main circuits;
——Series capacitors for power systems (see GB/T 6115.1, GB/T 6115.2, and GB/T 6115.3);
——Coupling capacitors and capacitive dividers (see GB/T 19749);
——Capacitors used in applications requiring energy storage/lar
