Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of air coolers used for refrigeration (hereinafter referred to as "coolers").
This standard applies to coolers used in refrigerated rooms for chilled goods, frozen goods, and freezing rooms. Coolers for other purposes may be implemented with reference to this standard.
This standard applies to coolers using R134a, R22, R404A, and ammonia refrigerants as the medium, as well as coolers using water, glycol, and other refrigerant carriers as the medium. Coolers using other refrigerants may be implemented with reference to this standard.
