Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test requirements, test methods, test deviations, total input power, and evaluation of the coefficient of performance for the main performance parameters of cold water (heat pump) units driven by electric motors and employing vapor compression refrigeration cycles.
This standard applies to the performance testing of cold water (heat pump) units driven by electric motors and employing vapor compression refrigeration cycles (hereinafter referred to as "units"). Cooling tower integrated units, brine units, and glycol units can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
