Scope

This part of GB/T 879 specifies the type and dimensions, application, technical requirements, and marking of straight groove and heavy-duty elastic cylindrical pins.
This part is applicable to elastic cylindrical pins with a nominal diameter of d1=1 mm to 50 mm, made of steel, austenitic and martensitic stainless steel, and having a straight groove that can withstand heavy loads.
Note: The selection of the nominal diameter should consider the following: the elastic pins can be fitted into another pin, or used in combination with the light-duty pins specified in GB/T 879.2.
