Scope

This document describes the use of the Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) assay to evaluate the endotoxin levels of nanomaterials used in in vitro biological systems. This testing method is suitable for detecting nanomaterials dispersed in aqueous solutions such as water, serum, or reaction solutions, which can be incubated with the nanomaterials at 37°C for a certain period of time.
