GB/T 4893.4-2013 Test of surface coatings of furniture—Part 4:Determination of adhesion—Cross cut

Scope

This part of GB/T 4893 is applicable to the determination of the adhesion of the lacquer film on the surface of wooden parts in furniture.
This part specifies a test method for evaluating the resistance of the lacquer film to detachment from the substrate when the lacquer film is cut with a rectangular grid pattern to penetrate the substrate. The performance measured by this empirical test method not only depends on the adhesion of the lacquer film to the previous lacquer film or the substrate, but also on other factors. Therefore, this test method cannot be regarded as a method for quantitatively measuring the adhesion value.
