Scope

This part of GB/T 21451 provides guidelines for the accuracy, installation, calibration, and inspection of immersion and non-immersion automatic level gauges (ALGs) used to measure the level of oil and liquid petroleum products transported in oil tankers with a RED vapor pressure of less than 100 kPa. This part also provides guidelines for using marine ALGs for transfer measurement, but this typically requires the mutual consent of both parties involved in the transfer. This part is not applicable to level measurement in refrigerated oil tankers.
