Scope

This standard specifies the noise level limits and their measurement methods for complete sets of aero-derived gas turbines (hereinafter referred to as "gas turbines"), and also stipulates the data processing methods for gas turbine noise and the requirements for measurement reports.
This standard applies to gas turbines used for power generation and mechanical drive, but not to those used as power sources for transportation vehicles (such as cars and ships).
