Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for the main drive speed-increasing gearbox of wind turbines (hereinafter referred to as the gearbox). This standard applies to gearboxes with parallel-shaft or planetary gear transmission used in horizontal-axis wind turbines (with a swept area of the wind turbine blade of 40 m 2 or more). Gearboxes for other types of wind turbines may be implemented in accordance with this standard.
