Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for the marking, electric shock protection, structure, mechanical performance, and electrical performance of ground-mounted boxes and enclosures.
This part of GB/T 17466 specifies the technical requirements for the marking, electric shock protection, structural requirements, mechanical performance, and electrical performance of electrical accessory installation boxes and enclosures for household and similar fixed electrical devices.
This part applies to electrical accessory installation boxes, enclosures, or enclosure components (hereinafter collectively referred to as "installation boxes" and "enclosures") for household and similar fixed electrical devices used indoors or outdoors with a rated voltage not exceeding 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC.
Installation boxes and enclosures conforming to this part are suitable for use in environments with an ambient temperature not exceeding 40 °C, but with an average temperature not exceeding 35 °C within 24 hours, and the lower limit temperature of the surrounding air is -5 °C.
This part is applicable to the electrical accessory installation boxes and enclosures for household circuit breakers and similar equipment (corresponding to IEC/SC 23E) of the National Electrical Accessory Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 67) and the National Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 189).
This document applies to installation boxes and enclosures.
Concealed ground-mounted installation boxes and concealed ground-mounted enclosures are intended to protect accessories from loads of not more than 1,000 N.
This part can also serve as a reference document for other standardization technical committees and subcommittees.
