Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for determining the shear modulus of rubber bonded between four parallel rigid plates, as well as the bonding strength of rubber to metal or other rigid plates. Method A is suitable for determining the shear modulus of rubber. Method B is suitable for determining the bonding strength of rubber. This method is applicable to samples prepared under standard laboratory conditions, and the test results can also provide experimental data for the research and control of the production methods of rubber adhesives and bonded shear parts.
