Scope

This part of GB/T 23901 specifies the determination methods for image quality values and image quality tables.
This part is applicable to the experimental evaluation of image quality values and image quality tables in radiographic inspection. When the image quality gauge required by GB/T 23901.3 is not suitable for inspection (for example, the attenuation coefficient of the material of the image quality gauge differs by more than 30% from that of the material to be inspected), it is advisable to conduct exposure experiments to determine acceptable image quality values. The image quality values determined by exposure experiments are applicable to the inspection of workpieces under the same irradiation conditions.
