Scope
This procedure applies to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use inspection of α and β surface contamination instruments, including α surface contamination measuring instruments and monitors, β surface contamination measuring instruments and monitors, and α/β surface contamination measuring instruments and monitors.
This procedure does not apply to fixed α and β personal surface contamination measuring and monitoring devices, or to the verification of β particle measuring or monitoring instruments with a maximum energy of less than 60 keV.
