Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product marking, order content, materials, coating, technical requirements, repair of the coating, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and quality certificates for single-wire epoxy coated prestressed steel strands.
This standard is applicable to prestressed projects and components with high anti-corrosion requirements, such as bridges, buildings, geotechnical anchors, etc., which use single-wire epoxy coated seven-wire prestressed steel strands. It is not applicable to steel strands with overall coating or filled epoxy coatings.
