Scope

This part of GB/T 5023 applies to soft and hard cables with a rated voltage U0/U of 450/750 V and below, made of polyvinyl chloride insulation and sheathing (if any), and used in power devices with an AC nominal voltage not exceeding 450/750 V. Note: For some types of soft cables, the term "soft wire" may be used. The specifications of various types of cables are specified in standards such as GB/T 5023.3 and GB/T 5023.4. The method of indicating the model of the cable is described in Appendix A. The test methods specified in Parts 1, 3, and 4 of GB/T 5023 are described in the relevant sections of GB/T 5023.2, GB/T 18380.12-2008, and GB/T 2951-2008.
