Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, order content, dimensions, weight and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for pre-stressed hot-dip galvanized steel strands.
This standard applies to bridge cables, anchoring tension components, lifting or fixing tension components in buildings, and other pre-stressed structures that do not directly contact with concrete mortar. It is suitable for low-relaxation pre-stressed steel strands (hereinafter referred to as "steel strands") with a diameter of 12.7 mm, 15.2 mm, 15.7 mm, and 17.8 mm, a strength grade of 1,770 MPa, 1,860 MPa, and 1,960 MPa, and composed of seven hot-dip galvanized round steel wires.
