Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and safety of HFO-1234yf (also known as R1234yf), which is used in industry.
This standard applies to the refinement of HFO-1234yf obtained by reacting tetrachloropropene and pentafluoropropane with hydrogen fluoride under the action of a catalyst using gas-phase or liquid-phase methods. It is mainly used as a single refrigerant or a mixed refrigerant to replace HFC-134a.
