GB/T 19212.14-2025 Safety of transformers, reactors, power supply units and combinations thereof—Part 14:Particular requirements and tests for auto-transformers and power supply units incorporating auto-transformers for general applications
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the electrical, temperature, and mechanical safety requirements and test requirements for general-purpose autotransformers and power supply devices equipped with autotransformers. Transformers with electronic circuits are also included in this document.
Unless otherwise specified, the following term "transformer" includes general-purpose autotransformers and power supply devices equipped with general-purpose autotransformers.
This document applies to (linear) power supply devices. For switching power supply devices, GB/T 19212.17 applies.
This document applies to stationary or mobile, single-phase or multi-phase, air-cooled (self-cooling or air-cooled), independent or matched dry transformers. Their windings can be encapsulated or non-encapsulated.
The rated power supply voltage does not exceed AC 1,000 V, and the rated power supply frequency and internal operating frequency do not exceed 500 Hz.
The iron core capacity does not exceed:
—— Single-phase transformers, 2 kVA;
—— Multi-phase transformers, 10 kVA.
The rated output does not exceed:
—— Single-phase transformers, 40 kVA;
—— Multi-phase transformers, 200 kVA.
If otherwise agreed upon by the buyer and the manufacturer, this document also applies to transformers without restrictions on iron core capacity and rated output.
If applicable, the no-load output voltage and rated output voltage do not exceed AC 1,000 V or ripple-free DC 1,415 V. For independent use transformers, the no-load output voltage and rated output voltage are not less than AC 50 V or ripple-free DC 120 V.
This document does not apply to external circuits and their components intended to be connected to the transformer input and output terminals.
The transformers included in this document are only suitable for applications where insulation between circuits is not required by installation procedures or final product standards.
