Scope

This document stipulates the work classification and content of earthquake safety evaluation for project sites, the evaluation of seismic activity and seismic structures in the regional and near-field areas, the evaluation of fault activity in the vicinity of the site, the survey of seismic engineering geological conditions of the project site, the determination of earthquake shaking prediction equations, the deterministic and probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, the determination of site earthquake shaking parameters, the evaluation of seismic geological disasters at the site, and other working rules and technical indicators, as well as the requirements for preparing earthquake safety evaluation reports.
This document is applicable to earthquake safety evaluation for project sites involved in site selection demonstration, determination of seismic protection requirements, and evaluation of earthquake disaster risks in engineering projects.
