Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, and storage of silicone rubber compounds used in wires and cables. This standard applies to silicone rubber compounds used for insulating or sheathing wires and cables, which are made by mixing silicone rubber raw materials with reinforcing agents and other modifying additives.
