Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings, labels, user manuals, as well as packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for medical diagnostic X-ray tomography devices (hereinafter referred to as tomography devices). This standard applies to medical diagnostic X-ray devices used for cross-sectional tomography. These devices can be used by medical institutions for general tomography and multi-slice tomography. This standard does not apply to computed tomography (CT) devices and maxillofacial tomography devices.
