Scope

This document specifies the general requirements for the inspection and maintenance of structural components of manned submersibles, the inspection and maintenance cycle, inspection and maintenance items, methods and qualification requirements, measures for handling unqualified inspection results, requirements for post-inspection and maintenance testing, inspection and maintenance records and reports, etc. This document is applicable to the inspection and maintenance of structural components of manned submersibles during their operational use. The inspection and maintenance of structural components of other underwater devices may be implemented with reference to this document. This document is not applicable to the inspection and maintenance of structural components of underwater passenger boats.
