Scope

This procedure is applicable to the verification of newly manufactured, in-use, and repaired DC digital ohmmeters (DCDOM), as well as the DC ohm measurement portion of digital multimeters (DMMs).
Generally, DC digital voltmeters (DCDVMs) are the main components of DC digital ohmmeters. DCDOMs first convert the resistance value into a voltage value through a resistance-voltage (Ω/V) converter, and then use DCDVMs to digitally measure it, with the display units being Ω, kΩ, or MΩ. Therefore, for digital multimeters, the DC voltage function is generally verified first, followed by the verification of DC resistance.
